diy: passport cover
I had the day off yesterday and was eager to spend my time knocking out a dress makeover project. FAIL. Five hours into the task and it was a disaster. Empty-handed, I rifled through my materials stash and commanded myself to come up with something redeeming - easy, no more than 30 minutes, etc. The result: a quick sleeve to protect my passport from those harsh airport elements.

travel packing: the versalette
I travel a lot. For me, it's a blessing in every way you can fathom. I do wish I could say that I've mastered the art of packing for my adventures, but I'm something of a mess every time. So it was a treat to stumble upon the Versalette, a Swiss army knife-esque garment, designed to be worn 15 different ways:
Nice, right? I love the innovative, elegant concept. Although a few of the possible styles aren't quite "me," this would still be a very worthy and versatile piece to add to my travel arsenal - I'd happily rock the scarf (second pic), most of the dress options, and the drapey poncho-ish style (second-to-last pic). A notable bonus is that this garment is sustainably manufactured, sourced from recycled cotton and recycled water bottles. Three cheers for that!
The Versalette is the first in a collection of 10 pieces designed for travel, the minimalist lifestyle, and extreme mix-and-match enjoyment. It's debuting this year, and I can't wait to get my hands on the Versalette and see how it works with the rest of the collection. See more about the clothing and the super-inspiring globe-trotters behind it at {r}evolution apparel. I think you'll be as impressed with the designers' vision of lower-impact fashion as I was.
