It seems like tassels have been everywhere for a while, especially as pendants and dangly earrings. I recently picked up this tassel-print silk blouse on eBay (oh, thrifted silk blouses! See a lovely ode to these staples here) and have been slowly working it into my repertoire. I love the neutrality of black-and-white prints and can see myself wearing this blouse with everything.
It didn't occur to me as I was putting this outfit together, but it turns out that everything in it is secondhand. As I turn more and more to thrifting as a means of shopping more mindfully, I've been glad to discover that I haven't had to settle in terms of quality or aesthetics to build a wardrobe that works for me.
On another note, I have to say that I'm just getting used to the idea of posting pictures of myself - not something to be squeamish about as a new style blogger, right? Gotta ease into this in a piecemeal fashion! I promise to quit with the seriously close cropping and zoom out a little bit someday soon. :)
I just saw your entry for PFC 9 and thought I'd pop over to say hi! You have great style, and I love the colors in this outfit. Welcome to the blogging/PFC party-- I'm your newest follower! xoxo Kiki
ReplyDeletepretty!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the tassels because I was too drawn to the color of your skirt! That's my favorite color you're wearing!! ^_~
ReplyDeleteI love how your shirt takes an unconventional twist to the tassel trend by having it as a print. I first noticed your necklace though- it's so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Sabrina
